Videt to Bath Conversion

This was a videt to bath conversion. We all have our needs and in this case, spending quality time splashing in a comfy bath is more appreciated.
Job involved clearly hammering out the drainpipe to a suitable slope so as to have a nice angle for water flow from the drain which was cenetered in bath as seen, reconfiguring the pipeworks, building a framework for the bath, using jackoboard as well, creating the appropriate acces points and tiling it neatly up.

Easy peasy, a two day job in total. (Okay, a long two days however, but still only two days ;-)

Now where are those cute orange ducks?!

Wall Partition 3

Having a bedroom door adjacent to a living room space in a shared flat may have a few downsides. This was once again a full temporary structure, easily removed and undamaged around the doorframe and floor.

Wall Partitioning 2

Another tricky temporary wall partition since it´s not anchored onto the floor. Why? Well it´s not always best to damage the flooring for obvious reasons! This partition is to get removed within a year, so hey, why not make use of the space you have and enjoy it! I totally agree with this client´s philosophy – in fact, I tend to repaint my place every year at least once, whether I have plans to relocate or not. Whether it´s 6 months, or 5 years, it makes your stay just a that little bit better, more comfortable and worthwhile. Perhaps, that´s the main difference between a home, and a place where we reside.
Enjoy the space where you spend most probably a third of your day!

Shopfitting

I´d personally say that communication is definitely the highest on my list. The constant interaction makes all projects either a success or not. Brainstorming ideas are the best way for giving a client the options, possible complications and solutions, and for the builder/contractor to express his/her knowledge and experience. (It´s quite easy to pick up the amount of experience of any builder or decorator bringing forth a slight “hick up”, and that´s also the moment things come together if experienced - of course). The following was an execution of a perfect mind understandingIdeas we´re bouncing all over the show throughout the project :-) I´ve only got a few in between photos, but that gives you the perfect opportunity to go and have a look yourself, meet the friendly owner.

Drywalling

It´s upmost important to keep ahead of current techniques, especially if you´re a conscious tradesman. Being actively involved in my environment involves constant research, time and effort – but that dearly pays off with each and every project.
Plastering, however a delicate and well respected trade it may be, is rapidly being taken over by drywalling. Sure, it saves a lot of time & money, but also each space needs to be taken in mind as well.
Like everything, pros and cons :-)
